Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has officially established himself as the NBA’s leading scorer this season after a dominant 51-point performance against the Houston Rockets. The Canadian star led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a thrilling 137-128 victory, marking his fourth 50+ point game in just seven weeks—a historic feat in the league.

With this win, the Thunder secured their 50th victory in 61 games, solidifying their position as one of the NBA’s most formidable teams.

With an average of 32.6 points per game, SGA currently leads the league in scoring and sits among the top three candidates in the 2025 NBA MVP race. His primary competition includes Nikola Jokić, who ranks third in scoring with 28.9 points per game and has won three MVP titles in the past four seasons.
