The Boston Celtics secured a 128-118 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at TD Garden on Wednesday (March 5), marking their fifth consecutive win against Portland. The game saw historic performances from Payton Pritchard and Derrick White, who stepped up in the absence of Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jrue Holiday.

Pritchard recorded a career-high 43 points, including 10 three-pointers, while White added 41 points with nine three-pointers, making them the first Celtics duo to each hit nine or more threes in a single game.

Pritchard's 10 triples were just one shy of Marcus Smart’s franchise record, while White’s 41 points marked a career-best. Their dominant shooting display was crucial, as no other Celtics guard has matched the team’s record for most three-pointers in a single game.

Meanwhile, the NBA record remains with Klay Thompson, who drained 14 threes in a game against the Bulls in 2018.
