Manchester, England – Manchester United's hunt for a new striker has reached a critical phase. The Red Devils have reportedly struck a deal with Napoli to bring in Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United have been prioritizing the signing of a new striker following a dip in form from Rasmus Hojlund this season. The club believes that bolstering their attacking line is crucial, and Osimhen has emerged as a top target to fill that void.

The 25-year-old forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been on the radar of several elite European clubs, but it seems Manchester United are now leading the race.

The reported transfer fee is around €60 million, a figure that is lower than Osimhen’s initial release clause of €75 million. However, the agreement comes with a caveat — United must finalize the deal early in the summer window.

This agreement puts Manchester United in a strong position to finalize the transfer before their rivals can step in. Sources claim that personal terms have also been agreed upon, with Osimhen set to sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford.

The striker is expected to earn a weekly wage of approximately £250,000. At present, Manchester United are handling the final legal and administrative aspects of the transfer.

Barring any last-minute complications, the official announcement is expected to be made by the end of May 2025. This move signals United's serious intent to rebuild their squad ahead of the next Premier League season and challenge for major honors once again.
