Los Angeles Lakers Suffer Third Consecutive Loss Against Orlando Magic

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their third consecutive loss after falling to the Orlando Magic 118-106 on Monday night. Despite a strong start to March, the Lakers now hold a 50% win rate for the month with a 7-7 record.

This recent slump has dropped them to a 43-28 overall record, tying them with the Memphis Grizzlies for fourth place in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Magic displayed excellent team play, dishing out 25 assists and converting 37% of their three-point attempts (15/40).

A dominant third-quarter run (34-18) sealed their victory, giving them a comfortable lead until the final buzzer.

His teammate Paolo Banchero followed closely behind with 30 points and 7 rebounds, while Anthony Black contributed 17 points off the bench. Wendell Carter Jr.

also had a solid performance with 12 points and 8 rebounds. On the Lakers’ side, LeBron James played 37 minutes and recorded 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Luka Doncic led the Lakers' scoring with 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, though most of his production came in the first half.

They are still seven wins behind the sixth-seeded Detroit Pistons, the last guaranteed playoff spot. Up next, both teams hit the road—Orlando will face the Charlotte Hornets, while the Lakers continue their four-game away stretch with a matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
