Carlo Ancelotti Admits Liverpool Was His Dream Club Before Coaching Everton

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti recently shared a surprising revelation: his dream was once to coach Liverpool. Speaking in an interview with Italian journalist Armando Ceroni on RSI television, Ancelotti admitted that he longed to lead The Reds.

However, fate had other plans, and he eventually found himself managing Liverpool's city rivals, Everton.

Many believed he was a top candidate to take over at Anfield. But the club ultimately appointed Jurgen Klopp, leaving Ancelotti to pursue other opportunities.

He would later join Bayern Munich at the end of the 2015/16 season, missing out on what he described as his coaching dream.

Embracing the fierce rivalry, Ancelotti quickly grew fond of the passion and loyalty shown by Toffees fans. “I really liked the environment because of the incredible passion for the club,” he said.

Now, despite once dreaming of Anfield, Ancelotti proudly considers himself a true Evertonian.
