Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has voiced his frustration over the controversial penalty awarded to Everton during their 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Saturday. The equalizing goal by Iliman Ndiaye came from the spot after Myles Lewis-Skelly was adjudged to have fouled Jack Harrison in the penalty area.

Referee Darren England immediately pointed to the spot, and the decision was upheld after a VAR review confirmed there was sufficient contact inside the box.

However, Everton drew level shortly after halftime with Ndiaye’s calmly taken penalty. The incident that led to the penalty has sparked debate among fans, pundits, and former players alike.

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton described it as a "very, very soft penalty," suggesting even Everton legend David Moyes would have disagreed with the call.

Meanwhile, league leaders Liverpool now need just 11 points from their remaining eight games to secure the title. As frustration mounts within the Arsenal camp, Arteta’s criticism of the penalty decision reflects the growing pressure in the final stages of the season.
